Fossil Coral and Fossil Sea Worm

Here are some shells I found in Florida in the 1980s.  The worm-like fossil was found on the East Coast and the miniature coral fossil was found on the Gulf Coast.

Fossilized Pieces of Coral

Here you see some pieces of coral fossils.  They could have been found anywhere in the world.  I found them in a collection.

Here are a few fossils that have been "sliced" to show more details of the inside of the fossils.  The round ones are Ammonites and the long one is a Trilobite.

Fossil Ammonite known as Perisphinctes sp.

This is another fossil Ammonite known as Perisphinctes sp.  It is from the Middle Jurassic period and is 160 million years old.  It was found in Morondava, Madasgascar.

Fossil Reptile Poop

This is a fossil reptile "poop" also known as Coprolite.  It comes from the Cretaceous period and is anywhere from 65 to 75 million years old.  It was found in Southern Madagascar.

Fossil Ammonite from Jurassic Period

This is my own fossil Ammonite from the Middle Jurassic Period.  It is approximately 160 million years old.

Fossil Fish

This is my own fossil fish that was found in the Green River Shale in Lincoln County, Wyoming.  It comes from the
Middle Eocene epoch.
